Sussex County is an outdoor and watersports enthusiast dream. You will find beaches on the bays and the Atlantic Ocean as well as fresh water ponds. If you are into hunting, fishing, boating, kayaking, surfing or just sunbathing, we have a place for you.
Southern Delaware has over 25 miles of coastline along the Atlantic Ocean and Delaware Bay, 12 miles of which are designated State Parks. Public beaches can be found in the towns of Lewes, Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach, Bethany Beach, South Bethany and Fenwick Island. Delaware's beaches are the state's most utilized recreational resource. Our beaches were recently rated among the top five cleanest in the nation as well.
